A key purpose of education is qualification which is largely concerned with how education “qualifies people for doing things” (Biesta 2013a, p. 128). This purpose provides the “knowledge, skills, and dispositions” (p. 147) that allow student to engage in a particular activity, proficiency or procedure, such as training for a specific job.
